After suffering from a giant cell tumor in my leg at just eighteen years old and being told I might never walk again, I had my world turned upside down. I had to give up the sports I loved and the career I wanted to spend three years recovering from seven reconstructive surgeries. I was told that most of my range of motion and abilities would be forever limited, if not totally gone. I was depressed, hopeless and in a lot of pain. Rehabilitation was a major turning point in my life. This is when I began to really understand the extreme importance of exercise and muscular development. This difficult period in my life inspired me to become a personal trainer and lit a fire in me to want to help others.
As my body strengthened, I wanted to take my own personal fitness journey further. I began competing as a figure and fitness athlete, performing on a national stage. Some say it was my determination or competitive spirit; I say it was my love of fitness and my obligation to inspire every single person who felt like they were in some way impaired.
From being considered “legally disabled” to becoming a Top 5 National Level Figure and Fitness Competitor, competing in the industry over a span of 13 years, I have gone on to train both amateur and professional athletes of all ages, media personalities, pageant contenders, police officers, members of the United States Military and brides-to-be. I am not the average cookie-cutter trainer. I am specific to each of my clients – training each individual to his or her needs, body structure, lifestyle and goals.
It is an honor to be an Infinite Labs Master Coach. It is my goal, my passion, to inspire others, to provide hope and knowledge, by sharing my own personal struggles, obstacles and victories as well as through my work. As a mother of two young girls, I wish to inspire not only my children, but all children, to develop healthy habits from an early age. I am especially passionate about working with families and I also specialize in prenatal fitness.
Nothing gives me more fulfillment than watching my client’s progress and feel better – especially those like me, who were counted out of the game.
I have been published in magazines and highlighted on National Television and Radio shows.
